At Avishayes Early Years Centre, we provide a wonderfully stimulating, supportive and happy learning environment for our children. They learn through play and engage in adult-led and child initiated activities.
All children have opportunities to explore and investigate, developing their social, communicative, problem solving and creative skills both indoors and outside. Every child is valued. We take pride in knowing our children well, taking time to observe how they play and planning activities with a secure understanding of each individual childโs needs and interests.
We truly care about childrenโs Early Years education and know that getting it right is crucial in providing the building blocks for their future.
At Avishayes we believe that those building blocks start from their very first experience of education with us. We believe it is important that children obtain the key essentials that will support them throughout their time in education. We are committed to maximising this stage by providing a skilled team and a child-centred curriculum that puts structured play at the heart of all we do. Your childโs safety will always be our number one priority. We know you are entrusting the most precious part of your life to our care and we wonโt let you down. Our dedicated Nursery team is totally committed to each and every child, and is trained to provide the optimum day care experience.
Our Nursery is supported by enthusiastic and objective childcare specialists, whose brief is solely to ensure that we constantly provide excellent service and best practice. We aim to create a unique โhome from homeโ environment where your childrenโs individual personalities are nurtured and where they are encouraged to develop. It is our mission to see that every child in our care leaves with a stimulated, enquiring mind and equally importantly, with bags of confidence. Every child will then be ready for a seamless transition to โbig schoolโ. You can feel assured that with us your child will be happy and secure, but please do not just take our word for it.
Once children are on their learning journey with us children in our class thrive through a mixture of child initiated, adult led and play based learning. We strongly believe that children are naturally curious and they like to explore. When children are playing they want to be engaged, developing different skills and sparking their imagination. Children will begin to learn about states of being within their learning in preparation for their onward learning journey to our Reception class.
We are very proud that our Nursery class is led by a Early Years Specialised Qualified Teacher who is supported by her dedicated team who have a wealth of early years experience and knowledge. Our aim is to provide children with exciting, broad and balanced curriculum which allows for the development of language and learning across all of the 7 early years learning areas.
Children are part of their own learning journey as well by sharing their interests with us. Our highly trained staff are able to use these interests as a stimulus which allows for the children to develop their knowledge and enhance their experiences.
The children in Rabbit class can always be found to be fully immersed within their play. Through our offer of continuous provision we are able to offer a wide range of experiences and challenges for all children in our care. The children are able to have hands on learning experiences of growing fruit and vegetables and cooking as well as many other exciting things. We like to make the use of our locality and can be found visiting the library once a month as well as welly walks to our local reservoir.
Throughout the year we offer a range of opportunities for you to come in to school and spend time with your child, through regular stay and play sessions and celebrations of learning. It is lovely to see the children so excited at having you come in to explore with them.
We look forward to welcoming you on your childโs learning journey.
Children can attend Rabbits from their third birthday. Our Rabbit setting offers a supportive combination of care and early education. It provides a seamless transition to starting school. The term after they are three, all children are entitled to 15 hours free each week during term time, (30 hour funding is accepted for children who are entitled) which can be any combination to suit you and your family, providing there are spaces in the sessions.
