Avishayes Primary School & Early Years Centre
At Avishayes Primary School & Early Years Centre, we proudly live by our motto: “Aim High – Achieve Together.” Nestled in Chard, Somerset, we are welcoming and inclusive learning community serving children ages 3 to 11.
Our Vision & Values
We believe every child has the potential to flourish academically, socially and personally. Through our broad and engaging curriculum, including Early Years, primary years and the nurturing wrap-around of our Early Years Centre, we support children to become confident, curious, kind and resilient learners.

What We Offer
Early Years Centre
A welcoming start where children aged 3–5 explore, play and learn with confidence and curiosity in a stimulating environment.
Primary School
A one-form entry school where each child is known, valued and supported to grow academically and personally.
Inclusive Support
We are fully inclusive, offering tailored support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities – working closely with families and external services.
Our Community

Leadership & Staff
Our dedicated staff bring professionalism, commitment and heart to their roles. From Early Years through to Year 6, our teams work collaboratively to ensure learning is tailored, meaningful and joyful.
