Parents
At Avishayes, we aim to prevent all forms of bullying by focusing on our school rule of 'respect' and celebrating kindness.
We used the Anti-Bullying Alliance All Together programme to help us understand our strengths and areas for development. We were pleased to achieve our Bronze Level in our first and second year.
We carried out an audit using a questionnaire for all children in KS2. Parents and children were involved in looking at the policy and helping to promote Anti-Bullying in the school.
We have been very lucky to have a local Artist Darrel Wakeman come in to work with children across the whole school on an art project celebrating the wellbeing theme of โbelongingโ. Each class took part in the construction and assembly of the artwork and it is now proudly on display in our entrance foyer.

Our Year 6 pupils worked with Safer Somerset to create films raising the awareness of Peer Pressure and bullying. Take a look at the films here:

โBehaviour by an individual or a group, usually repeated over time that intentionally hurts another individual either physically or emotionallyโ.
